THE JOURNEY

SIC is an interior design firm based in Vadodara, Gujarat. Established by Sachi Parikh.
She was later on joined by interior designer Meera Mehta.
The duo’s passion for design and doing something of their own brought them together.

 

DESIGN PHILOSOPHY

SIC believes in ‘Less is more’. We aim towards creating simplistic and elegant designs.
Nature is our biggest inspiration. We try to incorporate as many natural elements as possible in our designs. Our color palette is also largely inspired from nature.
Our core philosophy is creating modern, functional spaces and giving full efforts to satisfy our clients.
Our Design aesthetic is defined by clean, sharp lines, neutral colors and innovative textures.

OUR PRACTICE
We at SIC have a very collaborative and interactive work process. Our approach is very upfront.
We are involved with our clients from the very start of the project. There is a give and take of ideas on the table which is gradually worked through mutually.
We listen to the client’s needs and concerns and then put forward our ideas keeping all this in mind.
We at SIC believe that the client’s needs and requirements should be fulfilled in the best possible way and hence we take charge of all the aspects of designing namely
• Site Analysis
• Conceiving of ideas
• Translation of ideas into designs
• Preparing executable drawings
• Explaining the drawings to the clients and laborers
• Selection of the labor teams
• Interacting and explain the designs to the client
• Coordinating with the labor team for perfect execution of the drawings
• Ensuring that the quality of workmanship is achieved as desired
• Accompanying the clients in selection of various material, hardware and other fittings
• Selection of furnishing and artifacts

OUR OBJECTIVES
SIC is a small controlled space. We have a very intimate and friendly relationship with our clients and collaborators. We work towards making the client’s dream into a reality. We respect constructive criticism and try to work towards it for the betterment of the end result.
Our ultimate objective is happiness – a sense of doing something which is satisfying. The extremely personal way our studio works, gives us immense happiness.

Passed out from INIFD Vadodara, Gujarat. She started her career as a designer by working with some well-established architects in Vadodara and Ahmedabad. She has also served as a lecturer in INIFD Vadodara.

Passed out from INIFD Vadodara. She started her career interning with a reputed interior designer in Vadodara. She later on started working with Sachi Parikh and together they started the journey of design and learning.
